Sanctuary of Our Lady of LourdesThe Sanctuary of Our Lady of Lourdes is located in Lourdes, France, which is the third most visited city of Christian pilgrimage after Rome, Italy and the Holy Land. This church is also home to the Grotto, the spring where St. Bernadette had visions and apparitions of the Virgin Mary. It is a place of widespread pilgrimage because the springs on the ground are said to have healing properties, and sick people from afar travel because of the possibility of being healed.
